The fort features the stunning Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) where a single candle reflects across thousands of tiny mirrors.
Amber Fort was built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirza Raja Jai Singh. It served as the main residence of the Kachwaha Rajput rulers until Jaipur became the capital in 1727. The fort is built from red sandstone and marble and represents a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture.
Over the years, Amber Fort has become an integral part of Jaipur's cultural landscape. Visitors from across the globe come here to witness the architectural brilliance and learn about the rich heritage that this place represents. The site has been carefully preserved to maintain its historical authenticity while ensuring a comfortable experience for modern-day tourists.
The fort features the stunning Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) where a single candle reflects across thousands of tiny mirrors. The Sukh Niwas (Hall of Pleasure) was naturally air-conditioned using water flowing through channels. The Ganesh Pol is one of the most photographed gates in India. The fort complex spans 4 sq km on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake.
What truly sets Amber Fort apart is its ability to transport visitors back in time. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a photography lover, or simply someone looking to explore the Pink City's treasures, this destination offers something memorable for everyone. The attention to detail in every corner tells stories of the craftsmen and visionaries who created this masterpiece.

Amber Fort exceeded all my expectations! The Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) is absolutely stunning. Take the elephant ride up if you can, it's a unique experience. The light and sound show in the evening is also worth attending.
