About Jaipur Metro
Jaipur Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan state in India. The project is managed by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC).
The metro system currently consists of one operational line - the Pink Line, which runs from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar. The Orange Line is under construction and will connect Sitapura Industrial Area to Ambabari.
Jaipur Metro was conceived to provide a clean, efficient, and affordable public transportation system to the rapidly growing city, reducing traffic congestion and pollution. The first section of the Pink Line was inaugurated on June 3, 2015.
